Some Facts About State Lands

State lands are typically leased to private 
landowners to extend their operations. Fees 
from leases help support our School System.
Many Wyoming State Lands are surrounded by, 
or are intermingled with, private lands from 
which they may be very difficult to distinguish.
Perhaps the best advice is to study ownership 
maps, and where possible, to observe signs 
placed to define borders.
